About The One Drop Collective Society:
Founding Director Patrick Mckernan formed the Society in May 2022 in Delta BC as a way to bring live organic homegrown music into everyone's life.
Our changing post pandemic world challenges all of us and takes it's toll on musicians and creators who are constantly struggling for places to practice and play.
Motivated by my own situation of small apartment playing of acoustic Tama drum kit. A more neighbor friendly solution requires a cargo van I can play in. Then, if I can add A bass and guitar band member use the van to get to a rehearsal space for more serious recordings.
With many online opportunities for creating and selling music content on streaming platforms the ability for an individual to create their own music is a path many have taken while live shows were on hold.
The formation of a member - funded Society to share music and help others also play their own music is one small change in the world. The creation of something that never existed before. Creating songs that never existed before. Supporting live charity events and provide backing music for church, public and civic events.
